Community Grants Scheme

The purpose of the Grants Scheme is
To allocate a small grant system across a wide range of social groupings engaged in the drugs issue, and or addressing the issue of drugs and drug use in some way

The Community Grants Scheme is now open for applications.
Please download an application form below and return it to Blaitnáid Dunne at the Ballyfermot Advance Project before the closing date of 4 pm on Monday 12th October 2009.

These include youth groups, community groups, schools, sports groups as well as those in treatment and rehabilitation.

The grants will be awarded under the following headings:

  • Awareness And Prevention Initiatives
  • Treatment And Rehabilitation
  • Addiction Training
  • Family Centred And Youth Activities
  • Schools
  • Diversionary Activities

Each year a small grants scheme is initiated to promote drug related activities or diversionary activities of the target group.

An advertising campaign takes place throughout the Ballyfermot /Dublin 10 area with the purpose of informing the local community of the grants scheme.

Applications are invited from all of the group throughout the Ballyfermot area and then application forms are sent out. An independent panel assess all applications received and from this the monies are allocated Finally an award ceremony takes place in Ballyfermot for the groups to receive their grants.
