Community Drug Team

The Community Drug Team was set up to work with drug users in the Ballyfermot area who are not currently linked in to any service or are finding it difficult to access services. The Team work with individuals who tend to be chaotic in their lifestyle and who are finding it difficult to access other services for whatever reason. The initial introduction will often be through outreach and following an assessment a more structured care plan will be introduced.

For individuals in crisis we are often the first port of call and our day service is a warm and welcoming environment. A Holistic approach is taken when working with individuals. We make the most of the existing services for drug users in the area by liaising, networking and setting up two-way referral systems and we aim to avoid overlapping and address gaps in service provision.

We very much believe in the uniqueness of each individual and therefore put together tailor made plans for each person providing lots of options for our client group, helping them to make more informed choices.

Being a low threshold service our underlying ethos is to provide support, information and options encompassing a harm reduction model. Our current range of services on offer include the following:

The day service operates the following hours; 9.00 to 5.00 Monday to Friday, closed lunch 1-2
